Czech double at the middle distance

The home team was once again unstoppable today at the middle distance with Lucie Dittrichová and Jan Strýček winning gold. Lucie Dittrichová was no match for anybody from the starting field, winning with a considerable lead of 1:20 min. Strýček had to fight neck-in-neck with Matthieu Buehrer (SUI) in the first half of the race, but then gained a decisive 30s lead which he managed to hold onto till the end.

In Men’s category the silver was taken by Matthieu Buehrer (SUI) and the bronze by Alfred Bjoerneroed (NOR) who fended off the final attack of Svante Selin (SWE) by one second.

In women, the silver was won by Viktorie Škáchová who added another podium place to her 3rd place from the Long distance. The bronze medal goes to Alma Svennerud (SWE).
